Things have been going pretty well this week for me. (:
Higher Chinese O levels was a pleasant surprise for me. I havent been confident about it all the while, haha. My chinese isnt as good as what most people think. It's probably just the language which I personally prefer to use instead of english. (Haha if you want to do more reflection about higher chinese results, please refer to huihua's blog.)
Birthday. To be flagpolled 4 times a day is definitely an once-in-a-lifetime experience, not like I would want a second time of that in my life. Haha i dont think i'm gonna list all the names and stuff like what I did last year (prefer to keep a lower profile this yr :D) But still...

Break was another pleasant surprise. Haha I swear I screwed up my steps during the auditions. My steps didnt appear to be as clean and neat as some others who didnt manage to get in definitely. And I have been hearing things like I dont like my ctclass and stuff, which is not true? Haha I think my ct class is pretty cool and fun! It's just that I like to keep to myself at times and be left alone. Serenity (: This has entirely nothing to do with the class. Even if I was in another class, I would probably do the same thing. Oh yeah.
Hoho jc life is about to kick off. I hope I manage my life well and stuff. Oh and O level results are gonna be released on my birthday. I seriously hope it doesnt spoil my mood for birthday celebration (if there was any). And thanks for the bsp jan-birthday-celebration today haha :D
Would someone want to explain me to the concept of 'emo'? I'm pretty sure it is an overused word. Does anyone even know what it means when we're using it? So in today's context, does "Emo=Emotional?", "Emo=Negative?" or even "Emo=Cool" :O
Haha, everyone is just using the word blindly and loosely; it's puzzling, irritating. What's being truly 'emo' if you put in that way. And what's just acting 'emo' - aka AA (attract attention).
To me, it's more about being extremely reflective about things. And what's wrong with being reflective about matters happening around you? Nothing! It's not even about keeping quiet and being alone. I believe everyone has the capability to be reflective and, at the same time, share these thoughts with those around you who you think may listen to you. Oh wells... so next time when you use the word, think again.

Life has been very much occupied by break practice these few days. Have been training damn hard everyday, my muscles are aching. My muscles dont usually ache, even after strenuous exercises. Somehow I have a premonition I wouldnt get in. :X Haha nvm. At least I sort of had a bboy crash course in these few weeks and I would know some basics though I would probably be the lousiest compared to the others inside after a year or so. Haha
And there were at least 4/5 people who had birthday on 18 jan. I heard groups of people singing birthday songs at least 4/5 times today. Happy birthday to yangxuan and michael btw :D (if they ever read my blog, that is)

Everyone's smart. Sometimes it just takes time to learn from experience. The experience is all that counts. Let nature takes it course and don't bother/be bothered too much.
First, let me emphasize that I'm NOT complaining about being lonely. Neither am I blaming my friends nor my class/faculty/og/whatever. The problem probably lies with me and not you all. So I'm in no way complaining about (what a sadded/emo) life and stuff like that. That's dumb -.- (I think maybe I enjoy being alone. Hahaha)
Anyway it's quite surprising only 2 people today noticed that a change in me today. Hahah i was keeping quiet and wondering how many could recognise the difference. Surprisingly, only 2. Lols, nevermind. I shall see how long does people take to realise :D
Next topic on agenda: Change. People change in jc. Yay! I guess it's true. And it can be for the better too. But I think the line's quite rubbish because people change all the time, probably more evident at jc because it's a new environment. Don't tell me you behave the same way when you're primary and secondary school. Yea? Hah
Anyway, why is everyone wearing red jacket in school nowadays? I swear I was the first one who wore a red jacket in school when school started. Now I see at least 4 or 5 for the past 2 days. Darrrrn. Haha. Sometimes, it's hard to explain. Standing in the crowds of cts and jc people walking around the college section, I often find myself out of place and alone.
There's like no one I can stick to, though I have many good friends all around. I don't know why.
That aside, I'm a 黄城人 now, plus I think i'm gonna be serious about joining breakdancing. Double cca, double the fun, double the work, probably a killer for me. I shall see how it goes as the month passes.

What they said about 881 was totally heartwarming la. Haha I always thought many of these cultures are dying in Singapore. Be it getai, dialects, etc. They are often presumed to be something of the 'lower-class', but let us not forget that these are probably the things that will make Singapore a truly culturally vibrant, cosmopolitan city.
Not just one with 7.5% increase in GDP every year and unemployment rate as low as 1.5% or something. It's pretty meaningless that way.
In simplicity you find style. In simplicity you find joy. The best things in life are probably the simplest of things around you.

One jump and all has ended.
The whole orientation has been really fun, both with the og and ct alike. Many thanks to the council, fac comm and seniors who really hyped things up for the incoming j1s.
Wargames was really crazy and violent, and having a knee hitting right into your face isnt something you would wish for. Wargames probably proved that girls are as violent as guys. Hahah. Anyway athena won :D :D Cheers! But I was quite surprised that we won, 'cause I thought we were under fierce attack from artemis right from the start.
Campfire was cool though there wasnt any fire at the start. And I had quite an unique experience at the backstage, in the control room while eveyrone is in the hall cheering away. On one side I was pretty much amazed by the coordination by the AVA people during the concert itself. On the other I was feeling quite alone among the crowds of j2/3s while my friends are all downstairs. But the feeling was good, somehow. Looking at things from another perspective and staying alone (:
Oh and my ct won the 3rd prize for time attack and 2nd for faculty performance, while representing athena. Hahaha, somehow I didnt expect all the wins that happened on friday. I dont know why. Everything came to me like a surprise.

Anyway i shall be negative about athenano more! 1 out of the 101 things I can look forward in athena is that I have daryl and chongchen as my seniors :D :D And I'm kinda looking forward to my class :D 'cause i know half (if not more) of my classmates alr. There will probably be changes but just dont touch my class too much (:
OG23 is such a funky grp 'cause we got loads of jokers and nice people in our grp (: Scenario game, anyone?
And I didnt know the reputations of certainschools were so bad until recently. Hahah, which makes me really proud about hwachong's culture. Haha, how the high school has psycho-ed the term 'Hwa Chong Gentleman' into us. At least for most of us in general la. Cough :D
There was something else that struck me during the interviews of an ex-student in a video that they were showing. That guy was either an eurasian, indian or malay. The mainpoint was that he wasnt chinese. Haha he said something like "...why some of the Chinese students found Hwa Chong a cheena school when we didnt.' Good point, isnt it? It just makes me question why some of us are so ashamed(did i use the right word?) of our own culture/race/language. Guess somehow we generalise too much or have too much prejudice/biasness. Oh well ):
So much about elitism, probably a residue of Singapore's form of meritoracy for rapid development. Haha links back to last year's project work (: I learnt quite a bit from last year's project work on courtesy and civility level of Singaporeans and much more throughout the years. That's where my interest in sociology came from. Well well, I guess being an elite is okay but being an elitist is not. See the difference? Cheers for dominic the elite! HAHAH
Oh well. That's all I have to say.

I guess most of the people are having fun with their OGs (finally!)
Haha, today's games were rather fun I guess. At least they were innovative, like erm Quidditch. Hahaha, how cool. Go tell your friends from other jc that we had quidditch for orientation games. I guess it was pretty good job by the council la.
Anyway so my fate is sealed in Athena. Chem maths econs china studies. 08S64. Probably combined with some others taking PCME-alike combi.
Yea I have done enough research to know the faculties and classes i will end up in.
Uhh, 'cause i have decided that i dont want to take bio and go suicidal, even though many have told me that you would probably own at A levels and score an A. I guess I dont want to suffer that kind of agony.
And since I dont have a O level cert, if i dont take a science subject and have it reflected on my A level result slip, i would probably cut off all my science routes and job opportunities that are related to sciences. I dont have the O level cert to back me up in case of anything, you see. That's like quite horrifying... ):
I shall just CMECsc for the first 2/3 months and sit in for history/bio lectures if i decide to change combi. Hahah, nice try right. Realise i said 'history' and 'bio' lectures. (:
